My Motivation
I aspire to make a significant impact on the world through technology and sustainable living, aiming to be remembered for meaningful contributions and for creating homes where people can truly live and thrive.
I seek a life enriched with happiness, peace, romance, and adventure, one that is punctuated by intriguing challenges that test my mental, intellectual, and physical strengths.
The series that defines me
Childhood entrepreneur 🗞️
Growing up with entrepreneurial parents who were always busy, I was inspired. I found my own hustle, selling newspapers to guests at our family-run campsite. I had a partner in crime of course, Jesper, and once we earned a little bit of money we spent them on candy and video games. 🍭 🕹️ Aah that first business! 😀 💼
Passion for Soccer ⚽
During my teenage years, I played soccer extensively. In fact, our team was one of the top 20 in our age group in Sweden. When I wasn’t outside, I played games on my brother’s Amiga 👾, and chess ♟️😋.
I remember very vividly the day I quit, around the age of 19, I left my shoes in the clubhouse, and there they are, waiting, for the great return that may never come.
The tech student 👨🏼🎓
Starting fresh, I journeyed to the picturesque Kalmar. There, at Linnaeus University, I immersed myself in three enriching years of Interaction Design. With every lesson, my horizons expanded, transforming this new chapter of my life into an inspiring tale of growth and discovery.
The most epic (and lost) browser game ever created
Moving back to Stockholm, we birthed a dream: a unique gaming company. Investors believed in our vision of a “massive multiplayer role-playing strategy game.” For three years, passion fueled our progress. At Dreamhack, our game shined.
Growth was unstoppable until tragedy struck: our lead developer faced a life-altering accident. Devastated, we halted, even when Europe’s top gaming giants reached out. Everything was shut down in a day. Dreams where crushed!🩸👾
Career in Tech 🤓
In his mid-20s, Jacob continued his career in tech and worked as a programmer and user experience designer for consulting agencies Occident and HiQ. It was a lively period filled with memorable projects, unforgettable parties, and incredible people. 🍻 🎉
It was also a time that brought a new passion to life…
The Stand up paddle boarder 🏄♂️
While pursuing a career in tech – Jacob found balance on the water.
In 2010, Jacob entered his first “SUP” race in Stockholm, and after that, he was hooked for life. A few years down the line, Jacob had now competed and represented Sweden in the ISA worlds twice: in China and Mexico, and once in the Euros in Peniche, Portugal.
In 2018, he won the Swedish national title in technical sprint, one of his proudest achievements to date. 🏆 🥇
The rise of the entrepreneur 🕴️🎈
Jacob hit Sydney the night before turning 30. On the next day, Jacob strolled down the Queenscliff slope, watching the mighty waves slam into Manly Beach’s shores like a drum solo at a rock concert. 🥁🌊✨. An unforgettable moment.
A Sydney chapter started with agency life at The Rocks, but was soon traded for a business venture that took him all the way to Bali. 🌏🎉✨
There, amidst the coconut palms, the entrepreneur was reborn, like a fresh coconut on a hot day. 🥥✨
A venture in Tech 🚀🌍✨
Back in Sweden, Jacob founded Myrmidon AB, a consultancy and web design studio specializing in helping small-to-medium businesses grow online. 🇸🇪🚀✨
